I’ll admit, I’m not a huge football fan. But I watch the Super Bowl every year. I’m one of those people who watch for the commercials and the snacks. Honestly, planning snacks for our little watch party is one of my favorite things about the Super Bowl.
I think this year we’ll have homemade grilled wings with sriracha sauce and nachos. And some beer. Oh boy. Sometimes I wish I wrote a food blog instead of a children’s book blog! Here’s me grilling some wings a couple Super Bowl’s back:
I am a big fan of sports for kids. I think it’s an amazing way for kids to learn values, teamwork, working with others, and also to get some exercise. Ava’s grandpa (Papa) loves football, and having a basic knowledge of the game is a great way for her to bond with Papa.

Who doesn’t love a Little Golden Book? This one features a dad and his son who watch football every week, then go outside and play themselves.
Little Football is great for the very little ones, it has simple pictures and rhyming text that explain the game in an easy to understand way.
